Good morning, Sire.

I don't enjoy all family gatherings. I remember some when I was a kid that were really stressful and I got to where I didn't want to go to them for several years.

Now, however, they're a lot different. We have really low-stress gatherings and I really enjoy them.

I think you've just opened a can of worms with your question about Yule, or maybe I opened it when I first mentioned it.

There are as many definitions of Yule as there are people wanting to define it, it seems.

I've done a lot of reading about it and the traditions, and there are many conflicting opinions, and some seem to have no basis in fact nor research.

Yule is a northern European holiday/event that was traditionally celebrated in the December-January time frame.

The meaning I've settled upon for myself is that it marks the Winter Solstice when the tilt of the earth makes it appear that the sun has started its six-month journey back towards the north pole and we start moving into warm weather up here and leaving you and your neighbors looking forward to colder weather down there.

But, you won't find lots of people who agree with me. Some will tell you that Yule and Christmas are the same, but I don't think so.

But, I don't want to get pulled into a long conversation about what Yule really is, so I'll leave it at that. Wikipedia has a lot of information on the subject.

For me, I'll just say that I celebrate the Winter Solstice on Yule and let it go at that.

I hope you have a blogging good 2010, too.

All the best,

Good morning, Doug.

I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your Christmas, too.

If you have any questions about SBI, I'll do my best to answer them. As I told you before, I think it would work well for you and what you want to do and I know the Action Guide will help you fill in the pieces you may be missing in promoting and building your current website.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again, too, the next time you're in Murphy.

Have a very happy and prosperous 2010, Doug.

All the best,

Glad you have a good time John. I enjoyed myself as well, but then I've always had a thing for family get togethers.

Pardon my ignorance John, but what is Yule? I could Google it but I much prefer you to do the work :D

Hope you have a blogging good 2010, even though you won;t be blogging that much ;)

Hi John,
A a belated Mery Christmas to you too!
I'm glad you had a good Christmas. This is one time we really can and should rejoice, be thankful and count our many blessings we often take for granted. It is hard and there is surely an emptyness when we lose a loveed-one but.....We have the blessed assurance that we will see them again!! Now that is something to rejoyce about!
I'm looking into SBI like we talked about and may soon be going through you to get it. I may also have to pick your brain again..(lol) I look forward to the next time we can get together a talk. I also want to wish you a Happy New Year and that your and other biz. owners have a very proprous year!! Keep Pushin!! Doug
