Good afternoon, Anupam.

You make a good point about people not necessarily being excited to see you, even if you are not a negative influence.

Taking the extra step to be more outgoing and positive is often difficult for people who do not already have that type of personality, but it may be worth the effort.

That's something I need to do more of.

All the best,

I think I am not a negative influence, but I don't think people get really excited to see me as well. :)
Well friends are different. I think it requires a lot of commitment and focus on being positive and giving out that vibe so that people can feel and start feeling good being with us :)
I am just getting started

Good morning, Mitch.

I don't think you're being a negative influence just because some people don't recognize what a thoughtful and knowledgeable person you are. That's their loss.

When the people who do know you light up when they see you, I believe that's much more important.

I know that I smile when I see one of your tweets pass across my Twitter stream - even if you're talking about something in which I have no interest, such as football, because I know the next one may be something that is really interesting and useful.

All the best,

Oddly enough, I can easily say "no" to this one and move on.

Having said that, I do have to clarify. When I'm around people I know, they absolutely energize me with their elation in seeing me; seems most people think I stay kind of hidden, so they're happy to see me out and about.

When I'm around people I don't know, I feel their trying their best to act like I'm not in the room, and you know why I think that. Now, that could be seen as being a negative influence, but since it's based on something I can't change versus any particular way I act, I don't worry about it all that much; I just don't like it all that much.
