Good afternoon, Mitch.

I agree. They said they won't charge for the current service, but they're considering other additional services that may have fees.

I'm not really sure if advertising is the way to go, however.

It's a good thing I don't have to make that decision.

;)

I don't think Twitter would charge for their services, per se. I believe they'd go the advertising route, which, with as many people as there are, might prove more beneficial to them that it has to Facebook.

Good morning, Sire.

I know what you mean. Sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day.

I was mostly offline for the last couple of weeks, so I've been doing less blogging than you, probably.

Now, I'm getting back up to speed.

It has been awhile John, unfortunately due to circumstance I have less time that I can devote to blogging, but that's life and I've learned long ago that you just have to deal with it rather than winge and carry on.

Good morning, Sire.

It seems that everywhere I was going yesterday and the day before that someone was kvetching about Twitter planning to charge corporate users of their service.

I got quite a few tweets about it and visited several blogs that were talking about it.

I was happy to see their blog post today.

I'm starting to see quite a number of visitors to my sites, blogs, and lenses from Twitter and I would consider paying for extended features if there was enough ROI to make it worthwhile.

It's nice talking to you, again. It feels like it's been ages.

Good morning, Mitch.

I agree. I hope Twitter finds a way to be a profitable business so they'll stick around for a long time. The more I use their service, the better I like it.

If they offer features that are worth it to me, I'd consider paying for them, but I'm happy that the service as it exists now will remain free.

Strangely enough I haven't heard of those rumors, but if it ever eventuate that Twitter decided to start charging for their services, I for one would have no hesitation in terminating our relationship.

Personally, I think those folks deserve to figure out a way to make some money off their little phenomenon; I just hope it ends up not being too obtrusive.
